Nut Butter Expansion
- Thursday, September 07, 2006

After several months of preparation, it was finally time to start making it so. The cement was ordered and a footer was poured. The nut butter production facility expansion is under way!

The extension to the existing building will allow for increased production capabilities and expansion of our current product lines. In all, the project will add several hundred feet of nut butter making goodness.

East Wind Nut Butters currently produces several organic varieties of peanut, almond, cashew, and macadamia nut butters in addition to organic roasted tahini.

Float Trip
- Saturday, September 02, 2006

Sunshine, ripe melons, flowing water: a recipe for summer fun in the Ozarks. For East Winders, surrounded by natural beauty, the opportunities are endless. Float trips are one of the more popular outdoor activities. With 10 canoes and a trailer, there is room for plenty of your friends to spend a day on the water.

The Bryant Creek is right in our backyard, just 5 miles away. Spring fed waters flow year round through deep valleys, around high bluffs and out of hidden caverns. On Labor Day weekend, we all but had the river all to ourselves.

The days activities included Frisbee, swimming, diving, juggling, fine dining and lots of laughs. In the end, we returned physically tired but refreshed.
